As we enter a new era at TBCA, an age-old battle between right and wrong still looms over the Christian School as we seek to clearly embrace God’s love, transform lives, and excel God’s message and meaning on life and all that it involves.  Last year, the staff and students of Titan Nation United in Battle understanding that God’s mission is for Christians to join together becoming a stronger force for God’s glory. Now one questions How do we as Christians truly prepare ourselves and our students for the battle that is required to truly be battle ready?”  The answer comes from 1 Peter 1:13.  It says, “Therefore, preparing your minds for action, and being sober-minded, set your hope fully on the grace that will be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.”  This year, our theme is Fit for Battle.  Students and staff will be engaged in learning how to prepare our minds for making the choice of living for Jesus.  Accepting Him as your Savior is the declaration of who’s side one is on, but this is only the beginning as God has designed a full-on training that we find in His Word.  Choosing to prepare for the battle involves taking control over all aspects of our life from thoughts to focus to motives to actions…with the intent of being armed from the inside-out.  The temperate soldier becomes fit in all behavior, opinions, practice and judgement of not only others, but ourselves.  As we train for the battle, we gain understanding of exactly the image of ourselves that God ordained when He designed the battle plan.   Redemption not only through Him, but reliance fully on Him as we recognize the hope that only Jesus brings of victory, both eternal but also earthly as well.  Christian soldiers stand firm get ready for a year of focusing on Jesus and let’s all be fixed on Him as we become Fit for Battle!
