Spiritual Life

At TBCA we are committed to the spiritual development of each student. Our school’s mission is to see each student embrace Jesus as their savior, excel in their relationship with Jesus, and transform the world by the power of the gospel. The school has a dedicated Campus Pastor who is available to disciple and mentor students when challenges or questions arise. In addition to teaching curriculum based on a biblical-worldview, we set aside time each week for students to attend chapel, provide serving opportunities, and create spaces for counseling and discipleship. All of these elements are guided by our school verse to see students “Grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.” (2 Peter 3:18)

Worship

Upper School Chapel (High School and Middle School)

Each Thursday afternoon upper school students gather to worship Christ and take a step back from the stress of life to be refreshed God’s Word. Our student praise band lead their peers in corporate worship through song, which is followed by a message from visiting pastors from our community, Christian speakers, and other guests who speak gospel truth to our students.

Elementary Chapel

Thursday mornings start with a lot of energy for our elementary students! Mrs. Locklear leads the students in songs and is joined on stage each week by motion leaders from each grade level. Each month we highlight a character trait of the month to focus on cultivating a fruit of the spirit in our students. We end the time with some fun games and trivia based on the Bible, then we have a lesson from a local children’s pastor or other special guests.

Serve

Thanksgiving Community Outreach

During the week of Thanksgiving, the TBCA student body will collaborate in providing a food "blessing basket" to families for their Thanksgiving meal. It will be delivered by high school SGA members or picked up at the academy office.

Middle School Serve Day

Before Christmas break our entire Middle School takes a day away from the classroom to scatter across the community and serve people. In the past students have gone to the homes of the elderly and cleaned their yards or completed other projects around their house.

Senior Class Mission Trip

Each senior class has the opportunity to go overseas and serve with missionaries to help take the gospel to the nations, or to serve in ministries domestically. Two senior classes have served in Peru.
